The Construction Education Center is proud to announce that Melissa and Tony Sheffy, owners of Network Framing Solutions, have put together a Matching Grant Program for the month of October 2020. Any donation to the Construction Education Center, a non-profit 501(c)(3), between October 1 and October 31 can be used as part of the NFS Matching Grant Program. Network Framing Solutions will MATCH up to $5,000 in donations this month to support the educational and training programs the CEC provides. This is an incredible opportunity for the CEC to garner over $10,000 in donations for our apprentices, the hands-on training rooms, and other training programs.
October is also Careers in Construction month – a month dedicated to celebrating rewarding careers in construction. The CEC is proud to have developed a new, accredited electrical apprenticeship program. We also offer apprenticeship training in HVAC, Plumbing, Sheet Metal and Carpentry. Our facility in Plainville is still fairly new and we are still in need of tools and equipment to enhance training opportunities as we help train the next generation of Connecticut’s skilled workforce. There is no better time to donate to the CEC than now!
